Lauren Kavanagh
Although I've held my real estate license for 23 years, I began actively practicing just over six years ago. Initially, I thought I could balance a career in real estate with raising children, but with my husband frequently traveling, I quickly learned how challenging that would be. Today, I'm proud to serve clients in Mattapoisett-where I live-as well as Marion, Fairhaven, Taunton, and Wareham. I'm also licensed in Rhode Island.
I've lived in Mattapoisett for many years and share my home with my husband of 30 years, our three sons, a German Shepherd, and three cats. Outside of real estate, I enjoy reading, gardening, exercising, and cheering on my youngest at his baseball games. My husband and I have built and renovated several homes together and are currently in the midst of a major renovation. I also enjoy exploring new tools to help streamline both my personal and professional life.
I'm committed to professional growth and have earned designations as an Accredited Buyer Representative and Green Certified Realtor. I've completed Ninja Selling training and was recognized in the top 8% of Conway agents. In the early years of my career, I dedicated significant time to training and mastering systems—an investment that continues to support my success today.
I hold a degree in architecture and have worked with architects, interior designers, and at Ethan Allen in furniture sales. I also spent several years as a horticultural assistant maintaining client gardens—a role I loved for its hands-on nature. Most importantly, I spent nearly 18 years raising my family full-time, which remains my most meaningful work.
One of my proudest moments in real estate is receiving heartfelt praise from my children-it's deeply rewarding to contribute financially after years of unpaid but invaluable work at home. I've learned that real estate is often more emotional than transactional; guiding clients through major life changes with care and compassion has become one of the most fulfilling parts of my job.
