How long have you lived in your area? My entire life.
Are you involved in your community? I currently serve as vice president of Whitman-Hanson Youth Soccer and I am also actively involved with an organization in my church, The Sodality of Our Lady; when my boys were younger, I was active in the PTO and the School Improvement Committee since 2007.
What would you say sets you apart? I care – not about the paycheck, although that’s always nice to get – about the people who I work with. Seeing them happy is the best reward.
Briefly describe your background and experience.
I have been a licensed Real Estate Agent since December 31, 2003. After receiving my license, I actively interviewed at several local, well-established companies and chose one which provided a team environment and a great deal of support from a broker who had been in the industry for over twenty-five (25) years.
When she sold the business, I again interviewed with a number of local agencies, including some well-known names throughout the region and even the country. I chose, however, to go with a service-oriented company, with a broker whose focus is on building relationships with people more so than building a list of clients. This connection to people is what is most important to me. After several years there, I made the move to become an agent with Jack Conway - a company who is service oriented and devoted to bettering the community through volunteer work and other initiatives.
Over the years I have taken a number of continuing education classes, as well as a three-day course to become a Certified Buyer Representative (CBR). I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and make sure to continually increase my knowledge of the current market so that I can best advise my clients. I also have a wonderful team of Agents working with me.
It is a pleasure to help first-time buyers find their dream home, to assist folks as they transition from a small home to a larger one or as they downsize, and it is always my goal to ease the many stresses that can be attached to buying and/or selling. In May of 2007, I was recognized by Top3Agents.com as being in the top twenty percent (20%) in my service area; this honor was both flattering and thrilling to receive.
Please describe your fee structure and any specific terms.
Listings are initially taken for ninety (90) days. The fee structure varies; this is discussed with the home owner when I go out to complete a thorough market analysis and has to do with items such as whether or not I will accompany showings, etc. I am a full-time agent who works for a full-service agency. I am reachable on my cell phone through call, text, or email. Advertising is an important means of exposure, as are open houses and a high quality of service. When someone wants to see your property, I know the information and will answer questions that they have. I will also maintain contact with you about appointments as per your instructions. I’m available seven (7) days a week. Other standard expenses in Massachusetts vary from town to town, and it is the homeowners’ responsibility to pay for the cost of final water readings, smoke and CO2 certifications, Title V inspections, and tax stamps and deed preparation.
Do you consider yourself a specialist in a specific area? If yes please state your specialty and describe.
I would say that my first specialty is working with people in whatever real estate capacity they need. I’m service-oriented, and my goal is to help people find their forever home rather than shoehorn them into something that isn’t the right fit.
Another area where I focus is working with “second time” home-buyers. One of the issues that I noticed when I began working in the real estate industry is that most people are unfamiliar with exactly what is involved in buying and selling. As a result, I allied myself with a group of four other experts – a home inspector, a professional organizer, a designer, and a mortgage broker. Together we taught a second-time home buyer seminar where the overall goal was to help guide home owners through the selling and buying process.
My third specialty is pricing. Whether selling your home or ensuring the right sales price on a property you intend to buy, it is my firm resolve to provide a thorough market analysis, including all of the little details that may influence price. Service does not, however, stop there.
Fourth, as a pet owner myself, keeping people’s pets safe is a priority. I accompany showings where pets are kept indoors, ensuring their safety and my clients’ peace of mind.
The real estate industry is extremely competitive, why should I choose you?
Excellence is word not to be taken lightly. I am knowledgeable about the area, market conditions, competing homes, school systems, and other items that will make your home more desirable to buyers. I take great pride in my work and in assisting people to get the best possible price and terms. The greatest compliment that I can receive is through referrals; when a client trusts me with a friend, co-worker, or relative, I know that their confidence in me is strong. This is how successful Real Estate Agents are made
